Muriwai. Black sand and gannet colony and west coast wind that doesn't stop. This is where we came to make something honest. The location wasn't metaphor — it was method.
No studio pressure. No clock. Three people and their instruments against the Tasman. The songs that survived are the ones worth recording.
We wanted music with space in it. Room to feel the distance between notes. The coast gave us that — the pauses as much as the sound.
